Filming Location #4

True Lies - Elevator scene

It seems that there are also two other movies filmed there. The first one is Forget Paris and the second one is In the Line of Fire which I watched a couple of times when I was a teenager.

Collateral - Subway Station Scene

7th Street / Metro Center station: "Due to the design of the station and the popularity of the film industry in Los Angeles, the station has been featured in various movies and music videos over the years: The Dark Knight Rises, Captain Marvel, Roman J. Israel, Esq., Collateral, The Italian Job"

Species and Leaving Las Vegas - Hotel Scene

One week before I visited this filming location, I bought a book on H.R Giger.

He is known as the creator of the Xenomorph (Necronom IV), Space Jockey and Alien spaceship for the Alien franchise. H.R Giger also designed the Sil's character inside the movie Species which gave me the idea that there is probably a filming location about this movie in LA or around it.

When I was teenager, I had the Species poster (french version) in my room. You can find it partially (top-right) on my "album" cover: 199X.

This location (hotel) is also inside the movie: Leaving Las Vegas with Nicolas Cage (in my top 5 movies of his).

On my way back home, I saw Nicolas Cage's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

American History X and Grease - School

Grease and American History X are two different genres of film and it looks like the music video for Britney Spears's Baby One More Time was also shot at the same location:

"The music video was shot on August 7 and 8, 1998, at Venice High School, the same school used to shoot the 1978 film Grease."
