An excellent roguelike shoot'em up with a high inspiration of Castlevania games.
Both game series use books in-game as weapons, pick-up items, spells, ...
I like books, especially real books like paperbacks and hardcovers. I don't keep all the books that I bought but the ones I like, I keep for a longtime.
Which means that some books I use overtime got damaged so I decided to try to restore them.
Result
The first book I "updated" was Game Engine Architecture.

Tools
Here is the list that I purchased on Amazon to restore some of my books:
The "White Bookbinding Tape"> re-inforce between the cover and the first pages. You could use between pages but it might hide some texts (depending on the book size).
The BookGuard 2 works inside the book (cover, pages), also outside (corner, spine, joint) and it's transparent.
For heavy damage (e.g. spine, joint), one kit of PVA glue adhesive kit and bone folder will be useful. I used that for PC Bible and Game Programming Gem #1.
