This part is an "aparté" (aside) where I saw the new version of "War of the Worlds" on Amazon Prime...
Well, it was not great!
It seems that this movie (more like an infomercial), reflected my thoughts on the current trend the last couple of years
where it sounds that we are in a junk food and microwave era with movies, games, ...
An Infinite loop while(true){...} of reboot, remaster, remake, ... with no real innovation with low cost production content.
I suspect that the movie could have received a better reception and reaction if they didn't use "War of the Worlds" as the name of the movie.
Better to do a "hommage" (tribute) to this one and Independence Day (ID4) but it sounds cheap to use this movie name or the writer name: H.G. Wells.
If you want to see a good version, watch the 2005 version with Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning.
The peanut butter scene in 2005 is better than this whole movie (2025 version).
Otherwise, there is a location (I don't have a picture about that) inside this movie where I walked there often.
Usually to visit the downtown and to go to The Last Bookstore.
The Grand Central Market and Bradbury Building are also close to Hotel Barclay.
